Hello.
My Trix V200 3 pole motors was not so good. They often loose contact or made shorts between commutator segments.
The difficulties of installing this kit are:
1) No screw holes at cyllindrical surface of motor.
2) Motor is a little bigger than it must be.
STEPS:
1) Milling of body is the same:

2) Making a fitting from side screw holes on motor to body:

(Additional lowering of motor can block trucks gear).

Hello Eglod!
1) I had an equally good quality of motion at all range of speeds with serviced or new (MiniTrix) motors as well as with Maxon motors.
2)The reason of motor change is a short lifetime between servicing of MiniTrix motors.
3)Now, with Maxon motors, i have quality as with new MiniTrix motors, but supply current is lower.
4)Maxon motors will remain this quality for significantly more long perion with comparison of usual(Minitrix) motors.
4A) This degradation concerns only motors from V200(m62) -[3 poles] and ICE-1 [5 poles]. I serviced it(cleared collector) many times. Motor in MiniTrix E40 loco works well. I newer serviced it yet.
5) Stalling at slow speeds can occur due to poor current pickup of loco and havent any deal with motor quality. This problem must be solved by springing axles,

5A) Nonuniform behaviour of loco speed, causing by dirty collector, having at slow speeds will remain at high speeds.
6)Mini Trix (and other ) Motors have 2 main disadvantages:
6A) Backlash of brushes. Low quality of brushes graphite and copper of lameles. This backlash lead to form sharp edge of brushes when motor is mooving at one side. And when loco is reversing their direction - this graphite sharp edge goes between lameles,crackes, and cause short circuit. This graphite dust between lameles can cause strong degradation of BEMF, and, therefore, cause very ununiform motion of loco.
6B)Probably, if You moove loco only in one direcrion and newer reverse it - motor lifetime must be higher. As to me - I have all locos with reversing.
6C) Plastic spacers betweel lameles wears with slower rate and can cause loosin of contact between lameles and brushes.
