As already known, this train has gear defect.
Firstly TRIX made warranty return and change cracked  plastic gears into metallic ones.

And how about affairs with this ICE-3  at present time?
Does more newly issued uncracked TRIX-ICE3 with old Articul 12197 has different ARTICUL?
Or all these trains were manufactured in one impulse(short time interval), all were cracked and there are no corrected trains until warranty return will happened?

Please explain who knows.

Is it worth to buy it via INTERNET store?
How do i differ cracked and uncracked ones?
The reason of my question: It is difficult for me to do warranty return, because i m not from EU, and it is difficult to mill new gears by himself.

Hi Vadim,

It's a nice and good running train and is it worth  to buy fo the money.

If you buy you should mention only with metal gears on the drive shafts otherwise you should leave it.

Kind Regards

Rob
Thanks, Rob.

What do You mean?  "metallic gear instead of plastic..."

What must i see under train, when i see on ICE-3's locos bottom?
May be there are slits and we can see pinions, You mean this pinions, and these pinion must be of metall?

...may be, You mean metallic pinion (gear wheel, wheel with toothing ), instead plastic?
But what pinion? Motor pinion, intermediate pinions, or axle pinions(driving gear pinion, where the wheels)?
Or You mean metallic body where placed pinions?

Another question - if i ll try to buy it in German stores through INTERNET,
which number i must point in order?
Or, may be, corrected ICE 3 train have postfix letter (for example: 12197-A) ?

Sorry for some nonunderstanding.
Vadim.
