I plan to control layout via IBM - PC
Which programm would be better - JMRI or WinDigiPet X Pro ?
Criteria:
1) Functionality
2) Ability to make Route control with large variety of functions for automated train movements.

Sorry, I don´t know the Software you called.
But I know RocRail http://wiki.rocrail.net/
It´s a free OpenSouce Software which runs on Linux, Mac OS X and/or Windows Systems.
I hope I could help you a little bit.

I don't know JMRI but you should know that WDP Pro X is not the latest version of WDP any longer. There is the new version 2009.

But some things could be much better done in the software.

Next year I can tell u.... I have to install and find out... I cannot find any features or hardcopies of JMRI.

As we already known, JMRI and RocRail - free programms, but WinDigipet is not for free.
It's too expensive to get WinDigipet.
Therefore my QUESTION is:
May be WinDigipet has much more useful and convenient properties than free programms?

Ok.
I have a full versions of all these 3 programms.
Only a large quantity of free time is needed to read all 400pages of each manuals.
But very large time is required to learn it!
Therefore i ask somebody there, in Forum, who already choose more convenient programm.
