TOPIC: N Scale at DCC-DRAMMATICAL improvement of electric pickup by using Catenary(VIDEO)
Hello.
If You re a modell railroader, You usually enounter with well know problem of unstable electrical pickup at model railways , which arises at N-Scale more often than in larger scale!
Recently I d successfully tested very drammatical approch how to improve it in case of electrical locomotives by using catenary.
If You will use catenary as duplication of one of rails, Other rail remain without reserve.
Also, this approach cannot allow reverse loops in track.
I remove these disadvantages.
This video shows significant improovement of electric pickup up to Marklin level reserving both rails from dust and allow to use reverse loops by using very simply approach - Switched Catenary.

I remove contact in one rail - it works.
I remove contact in other rail - it also works.
I change rails - it works!

This approach is very useful for short electrical locos with small amount of pickuped

Цифровая не мое дело, аналогичной схеме может быть использована по аналогии с электровозов.
Но другой вопрос: есть ли в России в N масштабных моделей 2М62? В противном случае я бы восстановлены две машины минитрикс.

U can ask me in ICQ 75438906 (VAD) on Russian.
In first message i described approach to DCC where DCC is needed between rails for diesel locos. It cannot be removed! Originally U can connect catenary only to one rail and always carefully check direction of every electric loco in aim to avoid schorts! other rail remains unreserved, and can stop loco, if being dirty.
I resolved this 2 problemms.
Moreover, I make duplication of both rails!
As to DM62:
As i know,only TRIX made M62 (DB and Chech paint), but there is nobody in the world who is producing DM62 (2M62).
I have M62 (DB). with custom remaked couplers and spartium

Danke für die Antwort. Dem Englisch bin ich nicht so mächtig, da kann ich bei Google auch in Russisch übersetzen lassen. Man sollte doch einen Weg finden, sich Nationenübergreifend zu verständigen.
Seit Jahren suche ich Skizzen der Sowjetischen Metrowagen, in Budapest gibt es Modelle davon. Leider nicht in N, sondern nur in HO.
Für den Ikarusliebhaber ist das Angebot aber sehr interessant!

(falls Dir noch nicht bekannt), leider sind dort IMHO auch nur sehr wenige Skizzen - aber diese Webseite ist schon mal ´ne gute Basis zum weiterforschen. Ich erinnere mich schwach, dass es noch mehr Webseiten über die Fahrzeuge gibt, kann mich im Moment aber nur schlecht an die Webadressen erinnern... typische Alterserscheinung.png)

Danke für die Seiten, die habe ich noch nicht gekannt. Dafür war ich auch schon auf vielen Seiten unterwegs, man kann sich nicht alles merken, es sei denn, zu jedem Thema legt man sich einen Ordner für Lesezeichen an. Werd ich wohl mal machen, dann geht die eine oder andere Suche leichter. Das ist weniger Alterserscheinung, wenn man so viel wüßte, könnte man sein Geld leichter verdienen!!!
Eine Skizze hatte ich bisher nicht gefunden, so dachte ich, vielleicht weiß Vadim etwas.
da werde ich wohl schneller von Trix eine 2M62 (Doppeltrommel) für meine Piko-Weitsreckenwagen frisiert haben. Das ganze Zügchen in Grün dann neben einer Moskauer Metro gestellt, sieht sicher ganz nett aus. Zumindest kommt man an Skizzen der Berliner C-Wagen ran, die 1945 von den Sowjets nach Moskau verschleppt wurden.
