Hello.

Now i ve installed Sound into Russian loco  TE101.

This is german BR232 model from BRAWA.

Loco was equipped by ESU sound micro decoder and large PowerPack!

Loko was also equipped with low consuming effective coreless motor (10-20 mA ) in aim to lenghten powerpack life  with sounds when loco moving via dust area.

Loco was equipped with extra weight in aim to work without traction tires with the same pulling efficiency.

LoudSpeaker is placed at fuel tank and occupy all free space.

Vadim,

its verry good, how you made the Piko cars. The ligth on the end of the train is real like in russia.
3 red ligths.

I like to drive with the train in russia

Flat springs is too weak, and can be made from 0.03mm Berilluum Bronze.

Yes, Rainer..

1) I was forced to change Lo Efficiency Factory-Default motor into Hi-Efficiency motor, because PowerPack capacity is fastly discharging with old motor where loco running on dust.

2) I also remove traction tires in aim to rich more stable electrical pickup with my all springed wheels.

I think, Smoke generators will require heating, and will eat a lot of DCC current!

By the way, how much does Smoke Generator eat from DCC?

I discovered, that these smog generators eat a lot of current and will require often servicing !
I agree, It's not so convenient.


It was FaulHaber, Who made general "RULEZ" in this loco!!!  :)

Hi Vadim,

generator no. 8 seems to be good. The current consumption is 100mA an it is very compact. The voltage is 16-22V, so it is suitable for digital.

In my opinion the current consumption is ok and not to high.

Thanks, Olaf, but I think,  that Smog-Generator must be connected directly to rail common, (not to common blue decoders pole), in aim to prevent fast discharge of PowerPack.

*hehe* You thinking about to us it, are you?
Sorry, but I do not know, if there is a special smog liqiud.

If you find space, you can try to switch on and of with transistor or relay. So you can directly connect to rails.

Yes! Russians love long trains.
In Moscow we have circle road which links all 9 railroad stations. It's diesel only road.
Usually, train lasts up to 60-80 cars.  It uses only 2*M62 [ 2*( Class 120 DR )] diesels.

I have only RS-2, BR232 and Class 120 DR diesels N-Scale models, which represents Russian TM2,  TE101 and M62.

Only one loco with sound now, which was represent here.
Other slill works without sound.
