THEMA: Russian 3x PIKO 40201 Talent2 cl.442 Repair

TOPIC:
There is a procedure of lengthenen, rusifying and capital repair of PIKO Talent-2 N 40201 Class 442

PROPERTIES:
Piko N-Scale Talent2 Electric train "Lastochka" starts with Russian Sounds.

SOUNDS:
-Russian door close
-Russian Typfoon airhorn and whistle
-Russian Compressors.
-Adopted gear sound.
-Other effects.

TRAIN:
- Full All wheel Electrick pickup and joined all cars.
- 2 head sound and  drive.
- No Traction tires!
- Both heads with sound decoder and PowerPack.
- Working DCC pantographs.
- F1 separate Car lights.

Procedure of modification:

0) I lengthenen train using 3 PIKO TALENT-2 trains in aim to correspond to platform length at my layout.
We have long electric regio trains in Russia.

1) I was forced to remove all traction tires from first powered trucks in aim to have good sensor trigger by first  truck for precise stopping:

2) I was forced to spring all wheels at  first powered trucks also in aim to have good sensor trigger by first  truck for precise stopping:

3) I also was forced to remove well-braking original half-truck electric pickup from intermediate trucks and substitute it by full axle conductive needle bearing pickup:

4) Intermediate joint  now looks as:

5) Original UhlenBrock decoder worked with motor too noisy, and sound board gave poor sound, which is difficult to adjust. Therefore i discard original PIKO decoder set and add ESU decoder.   At heads i also add additional Pb  loads upper motorized truck, powerpack,  and DCC catenary circuitry.

6) I also substitute pantos into Sommerfeldt conductive ones.
