firstly, I am not sure whether this answer will help you, but let's see... Crossrail being a swiss centered company may actually use the swiss loco red, which I found in

to be either RAL 3000 or RAL 3020. Personally, I'd tend to 3020 as it is a little more vivid. This is also supported by

http://www.9-mm.ch/9-mm_eigenbau_035.htm (also german)
